Northfield Planning Commission

The Planning Commission is responsible for developing and drafting the Town Plan and Zoning Bylaws. The current Town Plan and Zoning Bylaws are available here:

The Planning Commission is in the process of updating the Town Plan (see below). We encourage members of the public to review the Town Plan and provide comments. Public comments on the Town Plan and the Zoning Bylaws are always welcome.

The Planning Commission meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room located in the Brown Public Library (93 South Main Street).  Please see the table below for future meeting dates and minutes of past meetings (when available).

NORTHFIELD TOWN PLAN UPDATE

The Northfield Planning Commission has finalized and approved its draft of the revised Northfield Town Plan. The next step is for the Town Select Board to hold two (2) public hearings, which have been scheduled for Tuesday, January 14, 2020 and Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Hardcopies also are available for review at the Town Clerk's Office (51 South Main Street) and the Brown Public Library (93 South Main Street).
