SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2020
The Northfield Recreation Committee is once again holding their annual Trunk-or-Treat on the South Side of the Northfield Common. This event will run from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Everyone will be asked to social distance and wear a mask. There is no face painting this year. Adults bringing their children also will be asked to wear masks. Halloween masks will pass for the required mask. There will be people at the four (4) entrance points to help with social distancing. Entrances to this event will be at Norwich University Complex (Armory) on the corner of Central Street and Depot Square; Fernandez Hardware Store; the Common Café; and the corner of South Main Street and Depot Square. Items will be placed in the bags of the tricksters to eliminate direct contact as much as possible. Trunks will be spaced six (6) feet apart for social distancing as well. If you want to reserve a space for this event, please contact Sally Davidson at 485-5211 or email firstname.lastname@example.org Spaces are limited because of the social distancing so reserve early. If you have already contacted Sally for a reserved spot, please send her an email with your name, phone number, and email address so she can contact you with specifics for this event. Some people have decided not to open their homes up for Trick-or-Treating this year and have asked if they could donate to this event instead. The answer is YES. If you do not want people at your door, simply put a sign on your door that your goodies will be passed out on the Common. Call Sally at the above number and she will make arrangements to pick up the goodies. If you want one of our fliers for your door, contact Sally by email and she will be sure you get one.
